Service Hours

5:00 am to 11:00 pm.

Travel Times

Travel time is expected to differ by a factor of 1.0 plus or minus 5 minutes compared to the same travel in a car.

The longest travel time 95% of the time is expected to be the same as a car plus or minus 10 minutes.

Booking (Pickup & Drop Off)

Advance booking required. Must book 3 days in advance by 6:00 PM before travel. Earliest booking is 180 days at 6:00 AM before travel.

Messages

Bay Transit’s New Freedom service provides demand - response transportation to people with disabilities or aged 65+ who reside in the 12 county area of the Middle Peninsula, Northern Neck and New Kent / Charles City, and need transportation outside of standard service hours. Please call (804) 824 - 2546 at least three days before your planned departure to check for availability and schedule your trip.
